Letters to Faith

Inversion Coda in collaboration with Beerthoven presents Letters to Faith August 17, 2024 at 7pm at the Austin Saengerrunde Hall. Coda, under the direction of Trevor Shaw, bring to musical life meaningful letters composed by or sent to individual members of the chorus. Centered around composer Adrienne Inglis’s beautiful, sometimes funny, original work by the same name, Letters to Faith reminds us of our most cherished friends and family, our shared history, and our hope for future generations. The concert includes music from Inversion’s resident composers Evan Blaché, Benjamin Dia, Marjorie Halloran, and Trevor Shaw, along with beer, snacks, and audience sing-alongs.

Fire, Water, and the Air We Breathe

As part of its OffBeat Series, KMFA Classical 89.5 presents Inversion in Fire, Water, and the Air We Breathe, a concert that asks questions of human existentialism. Are we a truly important species or simply a temporary environmental disruption? We are the "creators" of fire and technology, but also the inventors of the atomic bomb. And finally, is it our destiny to reach beyond this planet? Centered around a brand new work from composer Juhi Bansal, concerts will take place Saturday, October 26 at 7 PM and Sunday, October 27 at 4 PM at the KMFA Draylen Mason Music Studio.

Hear Me Roar!

On March 1-2, 2025, Da Capo, Inversion’s professional ensemble dedicated to new music for treble voices, presents Hear Me Roar!, a concert consisting of music that amplifies, uplifts, and empowers voices that are often oppressed and silenced—especially of folks in the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, and countries suffering from the ravages of war. This concert will feature several newly commissioned works by composers who belong to the communities this program holds space for, as well as Come Bright Spirit by Gay Kahkonen, the winning entry to the Sandra Fivecoat Memorial Composition Contest. This program also features percussionist Jordan Walsh, cellist Annette Eicker, and pianist Benjamin Dia. Katrina Saporsantos directs.
